Things to Do

The customer who decides to visit us in the Marche Region has the opportunity to have many experiences. Today there are many multimedia contents on the net so we report only a few insights. More information can also be requested on site

Nature and territories:

Viaggi in Mongolfiera

Hot air balloon rides

Departing at the crack of dawn to fly over the territories of the Sibillini Mountains.

Lame Rosse

The Sibillini canyon: Natural setting of rock formations reachable from Lake Fiastra.

Fiastra Lake

Artificial lake with crystal-clear water surrounded by pristine environment, with small equipped beach, picnic area and canoes.

Pilato Lake

Perhaps the most coveted and legend-rich route in the Sibillini Mountains.

Gole dell’infernaccio

Very famous hike with very impressive gorges, mighty sheer rock walls, small waterfalls with the gentle flow of the river. You can reach the Hermitage of St. Leonard of Friar Peter, the hidden waterfall and the spring of Capotenna.

Piani di Ragnolo

Plateau with wide views to the Adriatic Sea and special naturalistic context.

San Ruffino Lake

Artificial lake from where a nature trail runs for walking, biking or horseback riding. Possibility of canoe trips.

Cascatelle of Sarnano

A beautiful walk suitable also for families within the forest ending in 3 small waterfalls that are very impressive. The medieval village is also worth a visit.

Castelluccio di Norcia

Extraordinary natural landscape especially during the flowering period.

Sanctuary of S. Maria di Macereto

It is reached via a scenic road with picturesque views among the forests of the Sibillini Mountains; currently visitable only from the outside.

Ambro

Surrounded by nature with a beautiful waterfall and a chance to picnic and drink the "world's best" water.

Smerillo

A village perched on a rocky ridge from which one can admire picturesque landscapes; the village retains a rural charm with cobbled streets and historic buildings.

Other places to visit in the Sibillini Mountains

Possibility of excursions to the main peaks such as Priora, Sibilla, Vettore and Monte Bove from which some of our apartments with views were named. Other interesting destinations are:

Elcito and the beech forest of Canfaito; Gerosa Lake, an artificial lake with striking views of the Sibillini Mountains range; Fiastra Abbey included in the 1,800 ha nature reserve of the same name; Lu Vurghe: free thermal baths of Acquasanta Terme with lukewarm sulfur waters; Montemonaco and the Mazzamurelli Park.

Culture and History:

Macerata:

With the Sferisterio, the Carrozza Museum inside Palazzo Buonaccorsi and Palazzo Ricci home to a modern art gallery.

Ascoli Piceno

The city of a hundred towers, with the Piazza del Popolo overlooked by the Palazzo dei Capitani, the historic Meletti Cafè and the Loggia dei Mercanti.

Fermo

You can visit the Piazza del Popolo with the 16th-century Palazzo dei Priori, which houses the Mappamondo hall and the Pinacoteca Civica. The Roman cisterns, on the other hand, are an underground work from the Augustan age (40 AC).

Monte San Martino

Present are the Church of Our Lady of Grace with 3 chapels decorated in the early 1500s, The Church of St. Martin the Bishop where the center of the ancient village was probably located that contains important paintings including the polyptych by Carlo and Vittore Crivelli, The Benedictine Nuns Monastery.

More indications:

Some destinations that require at least an hour's drive are the Sanctuary of Loreto, the beach of the Riviera del Conero with the beach of the 2 sisters and San Michele, caves of Frasassi and Urbino. Still to the south we find several towns perched on a promontory very well cared for and characteristic overlooking the sea such as Grottammare, Torre di Palme and Cupramarittima. A special feature is the sea turtle sanctuary in Numana with the release of Caretta Caretta into the sea on some specific dates.

Local products:

Some typical products are the pink apples of the Monti Azzurri, ciabuscolo, Vernaccia di Serrapetrona, and the excellent cooked wine of Loro Piceno. Possibility to visit several wineries in the area.
